My Ultimate Vacation

When I was a child, my parents used to take me and my sister to business trips and conventions. During weekends, we’d go for a long drive to the beach while singing songs and exchanging stories. My father also taught us how to read the map so that we won’t ever get lost and in case we did, we would always find our way back.

As I grew older, the wanderlust started to affect me too. I would often save my money to buy a bus ticket to somewhere. When I rode an airplane for the first time, I was exhilarated. That’s when I knew I wanted to travel and see the world.

Now that I’m working, I am thinking about going to a different country for a long and needed vacation. An exotic yet mysterious location would be really nice. I could do some sightseeing, eat something new yet tasteful and maybe even learn a new language. An ultimate vacation for me will be lying in the sand with a pina colada in my hand and just relaxing. I would probably stay up late and just listen to the locals telling various stories.

To be in a new and different location is simply the best feeling ever. But returning home with wonderful memories and new friends is something else.
